AP and CNN weigh in on McCain thinking Spain is in Latin America
I was a little confused by the coverage of this at first, because the news coverage I’d read simply said McCain was confused. I didn’t understand that McCain referred to Spain as being IN THIS HEMISPHERE, and when asked about whether he would work with Spain’s leader, he started talking about MEXICO. McCain clearly has no idea who Zapatero is. Whether or not he realizes where Spain is or whether he thinks anyone who speaks Spanish must care about the same issues and have the same politics remains to be seen. Regardless, he has no idea whom the journalist is referring to in the interview.
Listen for yourself.
Jesus. Christ. McCain ACTUALLY thinks Spain is in South America. Listen to the interview! Robot-heart is right. Reading about this is one thing, but actually hearing the words come out of his mouth makes me want to vomit.
Anne, if McCain wins the election, is it cool if Stacey and I camp out in your backyard? We promise, it’ll just be until we’re able to gain refugee status. (Honestly, I’m not sure how much I’m joking here.)
Lee, I’m actually looking for a house to buy and there will be room for you guys. I just hope you will come for a vacation rather than an expatriation. But if I were living in the US right now, I would seriously consider leaving the country in case of a McCain/Palin election.
This is really, really scary, not only for the US, but for the world too. I, like 80 % of the French people, really want Obama to win.
